Lawsuit challenges the “good moral character” requirement for PA cosmetologist license. Plaintiffs Courtney Haveman and Amanda Spillane, both former convicts who have turned their lives around, are suing on the grounds that restrictions on ex-cons becoming licensed violate the Pennsylvania Constitution, which states that laws prohibiting employment must serve to actually protect the public.

Ohio House unanimously passes bill requiring licensing boards to issue temporary licensing to members of the military and their spouses when stationed in Ohio.
